When Nathan Brock, owner of Rolled Out Manufacturing looks back on his time in the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities program, he feels grateful to have crossed paths with his Community Futures Entre-Corp representative and the rest of the team.

“They changed my life forever,” he said.

Nathan attended the program through Community Futures in Medicine Hat, and attributes the program for forming the basis to confidently start his own business.

“I learned that no business can be based on one product alone. Hard work, determination, commitment and patience are all things

I learned in this program. I have reached the goal of getting a business off the ground, and now have the new goal of expanding our net-work and making it more profitable.”

Nathan explained that personal barriers in the way of confidence, overthinking and fear of failure combined with financial barriers were obstacles he had to overcome to get his business off the ground. In the end, though, it’s important to stay true to yourself.

“Don’t listen to negative people – there will always be critics. Do what makes you happy, and be patient with your process. Always remember- if it was easy, everyone would be doing it.”
